Key features of the MAST Laboratory include: Sophisticated six-degrees-of-freedom (DOF) control system that enables the application of complex multi-directional deformation or loading schemes to structural subassemblages. Ability to apply large loads and deformations to test large-scale structural subassemblages including portions of beam-column frame systems, walls, tanks, and bridge piers Integrated Quasi-Static Hybrid Simulation using the OpenFresco open-source framework High capacity data acquisition system for collecting sensor information Optical measuring system for collecting three-dimensional positional information Remotely-controllable telepresence capabilities including capturing of high-resolution images Documents: Proposer Guide mast_proposer_guide.pdf MAST Brochure mast_brochure.pdf Hybrid Test Brochure mast_hybrid_testing_brochure.pdf College of Science and Engineering 117 Pleasant Street SE Minneapolis, MN 55455 (612) 624-2006 Main http://cse.umn.edu MAST Laboratory 2525 4th St SE Minneapolis, MN 55455 (612) 626-9561 Main (612) 626-1823 Operations Manager (612) 625-5964 Fax http://mastlab.umn.edu Department of Civil, Environmental, and Geo- Engineering 500 Pillsbury Drive SE Minneapolis, MN 55455 (612) 625-5522 Main (612) 626-7750 Fax http://cege.umn.edu The MAST Laboratory is supported by the College of Science and Engineering , the Department of Civil, Envinronmental, and Geo- Engineering , and individual donors.
